Time is flying by...

The year is already flying by and it just started! I’ve been really busy lately; not much time for writing on the blog. I’m taking a break today from my research paper, so here I am!

We had a lovely Valentine’s Day. I’m not the average girl who likes roses and candy on Valentine’s Day. What a waste! Flowers and Candy are twice as high for Valentine’s Day. If you’re going to spend some money then make it something worthwhile! (Although I do like jewelry!) Last year we bought a new flat screen TV for the bedroom, this year we got a new printer for the office. This is not just any printer; it prints, copies, scans and faxes. We’ve been looking at printers for quit a while now. We have three printers and four computers in our office at home- two laptops and two desktops. It’s time to consolidate!

Scott and I had dinner on Valentine’s night at one of our favorite restaurants close to home. It’s called Grapes and Hops and it’s fabulous. Very intimate, piano player, great food and excellent service - it was awesome!

Scott has been busy with Relay for Life in Johns Creek. It’s April 17th and 18th and he’s really excited to be co-chairing with the Johns Creek Interim Mayor, Bev Miller. We’ve met a lot of wonderful people working on this project and I hope that it’s a huge success for Johns Creek and the American Cancer Society. I think we are going to have to move there since they keep asking Scott to join the Kiwanis Club and some other stuff!

As for me, I am almost finished with school!!!! Woo Hoo! I am working on my final paper called the Capstone Project. It’s just a large research paper with a lot of detail. Actually, it’s kind of a pain, but I have to do it to graduate. I’m finished with classes though and do not have to go back to the school until March 24th when I present my paper to the class and the professor. I’m almost there!

It’s warm here up until yesterday. I’m ready for the cold to go away! We’ve been making our vacation plans for the summer. I graduate in May and my family is coming to Atlanta for that, but in June we are traveling to Peoria, Illinois to spend a week with my sister, Shannon and her family. My Mom and Dad are coming from Detroit and we are going to spend a couple of days in Chicago also. My other sister, Stacy is due to have her second baby that week also, so I get to see all my nieces and nephews at once!

In July we are going to spend several days down in Key West, Florida site seeing. The rest of the summer we’ll have our boat down on Lake Martin in Alabama at Scott’s parents’ lake house. It’s going to be a great summer!
